ABOUT US:

Water-Oak Circle of Sports began in 1977 by a group of Watertown/Oakville sportsmen. The mission statement of this nonprofit charity, states, “to honor a one-time Watertown-Oakville resident student or supporter (male or female) dedicated to the highest ideals of sportsmanship, and who has contributed to the betterment of sports regardless of race, color or creed.” To achieve this, we present awards within the community which include the Water-Oak Award, Special Awards, Community Service Awards and Team Championship Awards.

Water-Oak Circle of Sports has expanded its awards by promoting and giving scholarships to talented and deserving Watertown High School scholar-athletes continuing their education post high school. To date, we have awarded over $873,000 in scholarships.

This organization has spearheaded numerous community projects improving athletic facilities in conjunction with donations to many of our local sports teams. This list includes; building of the press box at the Mills Complex; record boards for track, and swimming; replacing diving board; sound system and chair back pads for the Robert Cook Memorial gymnasium; scoreboard for field hockey/softball field. Other projects include new dugouts and sunscreen at Deland Field, donations to playgrounds, uniform purchases, and maintenance to batting cages at Deland and Veterans Park.

The Water-Oak Circle of Sports would like to thank the business community and sponsors that have supported our efforts throughout the years and have contributed to making our Awards/Scholarship Ceremony’s a huge success. We look forward to your continued support in the future.

We are in constant search of new members to help us grow and give new ideas to better serve the Watertown-Oakville communities. Please consider joining by visiting us on the contacts tab or email us at wocofs@gmail.com.
